Hi there. Its a very beautiful piece so far. I tried my best on drawing up some examples of the face of what you could do maybe, though they are sketches as rendering and painting are not my strong suit. I'd recommend looking for reference of different faces from other artists to see how they did this kinda angel and painted it, there maybe a way for you to simplify it.
