Hi friend! I’m still learning myself how to draw some good poses, so take my advice as it is… The first thing to keep in mind is what usually is called line of action, basically the core of the topic is that a pose have some dynamism, some force. Every part of the body has some kind of energy in a dynamic pose (even the hair), if you learn to see that and to catch that your poses will improve a lot. To do so you can do some gesture drawing, you set a timer and draw the pose you see on the reference as fast as you can. This will build up some muscle memory, the confidence and the eye you will need in order to draw better poses. Anorher thing thats usually overlooked is the center of gravity, that basically is a point of stability (in this case i put it on the neck because she has a big head, usually is more or less at the center of the body). If your character has is COG over her leg she will fall. For the proportion its useful to draw before a simplified version of the pose, so you can adjust the proportion before having to commit to anithing. I dont like to mesure things, so i cant really help with that, my advice us to draw some poses from reference and slowly develop an eye for that… One last advice that i like to give you (because i find it usefull for me) is this: when you think of a pose you’d like to draw, sketch it first (since you are drawing digitally do it in anothel layer), draw loosely keeping your hand in motion and dont stop to one sketch but try to draw more to see if the next pose is better then the first. Doing so you will have a bunch of dynamic poses to pick from, also if you draw on another layer you can keep the lines you like and this will improve a lot your drawings.
