Hey there! First off, this is a really striking concept. The dark, cosmic aesthetic is super cool, and that intense, glowing purple contrasting with the dark robes immediately catches the eye. You have a really great sense of color and mood! To help you push your illustrations to the next level, I wanted to share a workflow tip and did a quick black-and-white sketch to demonstrate. Before jumping into the final render, it is incredibly helpful to try out a few different compositions first. For example, splash artists at studios like Riot Games will usually create at least 4 (or even more!) rough B&W composition thumbnails before they ever start painting the final image. They use this thumbnailing phase to test out if every aspect of the image is working, checking the perspective, lighting, poses, and overall storytelling. In the quick sketch I did, I applied this idea to your character to see what a different approach might look like: Camera Angle & Perspective: I dropped the camera down to a low angle, looking up at her. This immediately makes her feel more towering, imposing, and powerful. Breaking Symmetry: I shifted her pose to be a bit more asymmetrical and dynamic, which adds a bit more life and movement to the gesture. Storytelling Elements: I added some floating, shattered debris and cosmic swirls in the background to integrate her more into her environment and tell a bigger story. Because I did this in black and white, I didn't have to worry about rendering. I could just focus entirely on whether the "bones" of the image were working. I highly recommend trying out this B&W thumbnailing method for your next piece! You already have great rendering skills, and playing around with composition first will help you make your awesome concepts look even more epic. Keep up the great work! | Artwod Feedback
