I think the style is very nice and the lines are clean, but some of the fundamentals are a bit shaky. I think the foreshortening is a little unclear and I'm unsure how the proportions are supposed to go. I would spend more time constructing and building out the figure so that you can figure things out more before going into line. Chinese artists are very technical so there's a lot of work put in fundamentals. I would also spend time looking for chinese artists with styles you like and using them as inspiration. Use more references as well since I'm not sure what the pants are supposed to me. The folds look strange and I can't tell if it's supposed to be baggy or skin tight. For your question about values, I think that spending time first with only 2-3 values would help you simplify the light and shadow shapes.
