To improve the proportions, you'll need to measure a bit more carefully, or at least look for reference points that help you match the proportions of the original more accurately. For example, notice that the kitchen counter is aligned with the edge of the bed. You can use that as a reference to place it more precisely. It's also useful for estimating the height of the counter. If you extend the perspective line, you'll see that it almost divides the bed in half. The cabinet on the right, next to the wardrobe, is also almost perfectly aligned with the central vanishing point.
