I totally understand what you mean by trying to not make it off-center! Trust me, I've been there, and unfortunately it's not an easy thing to double-check traditionally. The advice that I've heard for that is take a picture of it and flip it to see where exactly the "off center" is. To me in this case, it was definitely the neck, since if not the center, it usually sits closer to the back of the head rather than the front of it. Speaking of hich my edits mostly focused on the big body part of your description and how to translate that into this style. Fat people normally don't just have fat in their torsos, but fat also in other parts of their body like their arms, legs, and neck. I also made sure to even out the fat distribution on his torso since his back was much bigger than his front. To keep the chibi look, I also made his head a little bigger. I also added highlights to the eyes but since you draw traditionally you can just block that area out before going in with color. Good luck on your art journey, friend!!

Chibi chubby cute boy drawing. The anime chibi body is unproportioned and all weird.

How to draw anatomy for chibi better and cuter. My crayon and pen sketch isn't expressive enough. The arms look pointy and the eyes look creepy. The anime character is supposed to have a big body but I'm struggling to not make it not off centered but still make it a chibi looking body. This is an anime boy.
