maybe keep the stiff pose, idk if one darker plane under the jaw and along the far side of the torso would make his weight read better without changing the large head shape.
Good evening. This is my goat character, Role. He has hooved hands and stands at 5"1'. His head should stay relatively "large" while having a slim body, yet I feel like I cannot convey his weight properly. Role is typically very stiff and tightly wound due to immense stress so I expect this pose out of him. I, however, draw his anatomy very cardboard cut-out like!! :( I feel like I lose a lot of three-dimensional space when it comes to my work. He is a webcomic character and I am redoing his many old chapters with a fresh storyline. I know what I should do, but studying other pieces instead of critiquing my own has made me fall short. This is a thought-out ten minute sketch. What do you think? Thanks for the help!!!!
