the mask already feels future facing. idk if the coat needs to match that though, a softer older looking coat might sell the prefers the past part

skin tone

I can't seem to get the skin tone right. I'd like to play around more with the shadows and highlights by mixing in a little more color—not just black and white—but I have no idea how to do that.
