Adorable scene overall, nice shapes for both cats and also like how directions they're looking at helps to guide the viewer. However to make it more interesting here are some changes: 1)background/foreground values: the tree on the back seem to pull all of the attention from the main subjects - trying to blend it in with the environment adds more depth to the scene, without stealing focus. 2) storytelling: while kitten seems to be looking at his prey, hiding somewhere nearby - there's not much context or space for that. What you could do is try to add some clues for example cattails - which shows that there's water nearby, maybe his prey is a little fish? a frog? a mouse that is hiding in the grass? you got the gist! ) 3) enhancing the lighting - doesn't have to be as shown here of course, but no matter which type of lighting you choose - use it to your advantage - light can also guide the viewer, as well as add more depth to the piece in general Hope that helps!
