When i struggle I find what helps is to go back to basics. If I don't see what I am seeing is a leg or a head but instead see the big shapes it makes it way easier. Then when I'm happy the big shapes are good and in proportion then give them 3d form then add smaller shapes/details until you are happy. Also look at reference if you are not already. Another good excercise is quick studies, where you look at lion photos with a 1 min timer per drawing. You only have time to get the big masses down so you focus on the big shapes and overall proportions. Use the head to measure proportions. It also helps with visual library so you find it easier to draw from different angles in future. Hope this helps. | Artwod Feedback
