I’m not sure how easy it it to do this traditionally, but maybe by setting a specific direction for light, might help. Increasing the contrast would make it look less homogen and would better show the shape and form of the body better. Additionally (not only because of the reflective material of the gun) adding a higher contrast between light and dark already helps make the gun pop out more. I tried making changes that might be possible to do on paper, but you’ll have to experiment yourself. I love the pose and character. It reminds me of Jojo. I haven’t watched, so I wouldn’t know, but this could definitely be a character in the manga or anime.
