Hey there, Well done so far! :D One of the main issues is the connection between the head and the torso. Since part of the neck wasn’t drawn, it makes the head look like it’s just placed on top of the torso without a proper connection between them. On the other hand, we wouldn’t really see the anterior part of the trapezius the way you’ve drawn it (around the area of the sword). The deltoid doesn’t overlap the trapezius the way you drew it, either. Instead, the deltoid connects to the outer part of the clavicle, forming more of a “U” shape, while the trapezius connects to the inner part of the clavicle. From that angle, the deltoid also wouldn’t overlap the chest muscle the way you drew it (like you did with the character’s right arm). Also, try to avoid drawing what I like to call “tamarinds” in the arms—two inverted “C” curves facing each other. It’s usually better to keep a straighter line on one side and a “C” curve on the other. In this case, the inner side of the arm (biceps side) could be straighter, while the outer side could be more curved. What I’d recommend is first building a solid base for your character using a simple mannequin (you can use basic forms for this). Before drawing the muscles, try studying them a bit so you understand how they connect properly. Sometimes, as beginners, we tend to draw muscles without really understanding them first, and that’s when we end up with some unusual connections haha. Artwod has an excellent roadmap for learning figure drawing and anatomy. I highly recommend it. Another good resource is Michael Hampton. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
