A creature of shadow and sinew emerges from the white void—half-remembered myth given form. Its powerful hind legs coil with restrained force, digitigrade and thick with muscle, as though the earth itself might crack beneath its weight. The torso rises in a fluid, predatory arc, lighter along the underbelly, darker where denser fur or hide gathers across the shoulders and neck. One great wing unfurls in a sweep of translucent membrane and bone, catching imagined wind, while the other remains half-folded, a promise of flight not yet claimed.
The head is elongated and severe: a broad muzzle lined with sharp teeth, heavy brows casting the eyes in shadow, and a crest of horn or bone sweeping backward like a crown forged in storm. Every line of the body speaks of tension—poised between earthbound power and the sudden, violent freedom of the sky. The sketch itself remains raw and searching, its gestural marks still breathing with the energy of discovery, as if the beast has only just stepped out of the artist’s mind and onto the page.
