Hey! Nice painting so far! :D To make something look three-dimensional, you need to think about the volume of the form. If painting it directly feels difficult, you can first trace over the photograph and even draw those contour lines on your painting to give yourself a visual guide for the volume. Also, try painting following the direction of the form. This helps give objects a stronger sense of volume. At the same time, simplify the details. If your goal was to focus on the mushrooms, it’s not necessary to paint the entire scene. On another note, I would highly recommend doing value studies. Working in grayscale helps you focus more on form and lighting, since adding color can make things more complex. Hope this helps!
