I like the pose that you gave the drawing, since it has contrapposto and asymmetry. Having a solid mannequin would help with adding muscles later on, Also make sure to draw through your shapes during the sketching phase.

Late post, fell asleep after got back from vacation. I drew these three from references to sharpen my visual library. Probably as much as i needed before hopping into drawing from imagination. To me, there's a lot room for improvements, because these drawing still not great. If you have any advices, truly i'd be grateful to hear it. Ignore the top left, its from yesterday :)
