Unless your goal is realism, I wouldn’t worry too much about your colors being off. Keeping your values readable is much more important in illustrative work. I think the saturated pink and blue look quite lovely on the mountainscape - but the value of your pink highlight is too similar to the value of your background sky, which is why it looks a bit off. Meanwhile, I think the way the mark-making suddenly shifts in the background and foreground is also little jarring - the rendering outside of the mountain feels like an afterthought. In my paint over, I added a subtle gradient behind the mountain to lighten the value. I also slightly adjust the values on the fore hills and added a noise filter so that they could match some of the gritty texture you’ve used elsewhere in your image. I think a secondary focal point like the sun is also a nice touch. Happy painting, you have a beautiful start on your hands! | Artwod Feedback
