Adding some line weight to the foreground especially to help create some separation of the foreground from the background. I did a quick sketch of it to the face and creature toward the bottom as an example. It helps those pop forward a bit better otherwise it looked a little flat at first glance. Making even the mid ground somewhere between the foreground and background can help a lot as well.

Artemis study
A couple of sketch studies of Artemis from the game Hades and Hades 2. Trying to get a feel of the rhythm of her design especially her hair. The bottom right is from imagination, trying to visualize what kind of bed hair she would have. I think I have overworked the imagination hair, as I was too busy searching for the right rhythms, and not sure if I have the likeness down. Any advice would be great!
June Sketchbook Challenge Day 2
Here's day two of my sketchbook challenge. I definitely wasn't as in much of a mood to draw as yesterday, but I'm happy with what came out! I have a lot of fun sketching quick vehicles, but I have no deep knowledge or understanding of how vehicles work so I make it all up right now. I think I twisted the characters body strangely while trying to point the pelvis in a different direction from the torso. I struggle with the perspective of the hip as a simple shape when drawing in different angles. One of my bigger weaknesses is my line quality. I'm working on breaking my habit of placing lines too fast before considering what the line will look like.

This isn't for the june challenge or anything, but i drew these two chess-inspired characters. Since they're based around the knight piece, i wanted there to be a visual motif of three. Three individual shapes found in the nose steam, three splits in the knight's hair thingy, three segments in the handle, you get the point. I just feel like i could've done much more with this concept, or like it's too subtle. Any suggestions? Please let me know!

Trying to incorporate stuff I learned from portrait road. Drew my OC this time. Struggling with keeping face looking the same in all angles (and fail :x)
