Hello. First of all, i really like the set up for the composition. To push the story and the appeal of the image i would suggest 2 main changes. 1) Looking at the image im getting the feeling that the red tree with skulls is the main focus of the illustration. It is meant to be menacing and feel a little out of place by being the only red object. While the character is there to scout and analyze. To further push this story i would suggest to use prespective and make the tree feel bigger and more menacing relative to the smaller human character. I also added some more drones to suggest some depth through prespective. You don't have to use the same prespective i did on the paintover but i would avoid having the tree be too flat on the screen. Think of how you can push the shapes of the tree to make it tell the story you want better. 2) In terms of color i think the illustration just needs some balancing. There is a lot of saturated colors all around the canvas. The saturated blues on the skye make the reds on the tree feel less special and thus less important. I tuned those blues down by a lot to create a darker athmosphere. My advice would be to tune the blues down relative to the red just so the viewer know which one is more important. And do that based on your taste ;). I really like the colors on the original piece so keep it up! I hope this helps. | Artwod Feedback
