First of all, well done with the face! The proportions are great, and the character does come through. On to the rendering/painting. It’s mainly that shading wasn’t quite following the forms of the face. I’ve given the light a stronger direction from the top front left, and gave the edge of the nose and inner corners of the eyes a harder edge shadow. Also the right cheek(on the screen) is given more definition. Colour wise, you can vary the colour tones a bit more. Here in the drawover, I’ve shifted the shadows to slightly cooler tone. Also, something to keep in mind that human skin has subsurface scattering which usually gives a reddish hue. Adding a slight red especially in the ears, nose and cheeks livens up the skin tone. Hope this helps! Cheers, Andrea
