I really like the character and the general design of it. I would love to know his background story which is a good sign ! One feedback I would give would be to add line weight variation, the hatching is consistent throughout, which flattens things. Thicker lines on the outer silhouette and thinner lines for interior details would add dimension. The highlighted area gets lost against the background, there's not enough value contrast to separate them. I hope this helps and I hope to see the finished drawing on Artwod reddit or discord :)
