I love the colours on the original piece it was just missing some more shading. Your main focus should be on adding soft shadows around the curves to give it a more 3D feel. The skirt pleats were missing the shading needed to match the more structured pleats you had drawn by the waist band. The top's shading looks fine at first glance, the sleeves really do look 3D. But the shadow placements are a bit off, they should be tapering towards the top like a triangle instead of a rectangle because they are inside the clothing folds. I would use warmer shadows than i have done in the paint over but it's easier to see this way.: As for the mouth it was placed a bit too high up on the face, I also changed how the whites of her teeth where shaped because it didn't quite match how her lips would be posed following the top lip For hands you mainly need to work on learning how long each finger is in comparison to each other.
