Hey. I’m no expert at all; but from what I know, maybe look at references and YouTube videos of basic figure drawing and large structures and shapes before making bold details. This might help you to understand the form of a figure better. Often beginners tend to focus on details and think that every line and detail is important but as you get a bit more experienced, you’ll see how artists imply different forms without drawing every detail.
