Hello! As far as rendering goes, I think there is an overuse of the soft brush. You should probably introduce some hard edges to balance out the airbrush-y effect that dominates your painting, either through the lazo tool or some hard edged brush. Another thing you could do to bring your rendering to the next level is material studies, to push the difference in texture and render between metal and clothes. As of now, there isn’t much difference in how each material is rendered, and it’s a pity because of how many elements the piece has. As far as the completion of your artworks, one method that I use is asking myself what kind of story do I want to tell with my piece, or what kind of emotion I want to convey through a portrait. If the painting has every element of the story you want to tell, I’d call it a day before adding details that might mess with the storytelling. I find that when further changes to the artwork feel superficial, the problem isn’t in the details but in fundamentals, overthinking and possibly too high expectations. | Artwod Feedback
