To be honest, my eyes were immediately drawn to the gorgeous girl, and that dark, contrasting background definitely helps with that. However, as an alternative, I’d suggest trying a washed-out, overexposed style for the background. Her dreamy, sunny vibe really reminds me of Makoto Shinkai, so a background close to his style could work beautifully here. I also tried adding some flowers in the foreground to create more dynamism. When the foreground was dark in both lower corners, the composition felt a bit too heavy. For next time, I’d recommend experimenting with a more dramatic composition. Maybe a low-angle shot?
