Hey there! The illustration looks great so far! :D I'd only make a few adjustments, starting with defining the cast shadow on the neck. Right now, it looks a bit odd because the neck muscles are painted as if they're catching more light than the neck itself. Ideally, the head should block the light from reaching that entire area, so most of the neck should be in shadow. You could also paint a bit of shadow along the sides of the face to give it more volume. I made a few other subtle changes as well, such as removing the awkward curve in the hand that's holding the baby, and adding some light to the baby's clothing so it doesn't read as pure black. The fingers of the red-haired character should also be in shadow. I really like the Renaissance painting vibe you're going for, where the darker areas blend softly into the background. However, I'd avoid using pure black. Instead, try using dark warm colors or even deep purples for your darkest values. Also, make sure some silhouettes remain clearly readable, such as the snake's body in the background or even part of the dress of the person holding the baby. Hope this helps! :) | Artwod Feedback
