Hello there! Rendering is the cherry on top of the cake, so I'd recommend focusing on lighting first. You don't need to create a complex lighting setup, either. You can keep the shading simple by using clear, graphic shadow shapes. That alone will get you about 70% of the way there (not literally, haha), since the rest is mostly about refining the lighting with things like bounce light, ambient occlusion, and other secondary effects. On another note, I'd also recommend continuing to strengthen your fundamentals in figure drawing and perspective. I made a few corrections to your character, and you'll notice that I adjusted the tilt of the shoulders because they weren't aligned with the character's perspective. I also corrected the height of the character's right arm so it follows that same perspective more consistently. Finally, I widened the stance a bit. I think spreading the legs farther apart gives the pose more personality and makes it feel more dynamic. Hope this helps! :) | Artwod Feedback
