Hi hi! Very cool composition! I like the angle of light you picked for such an idea! I think most of the aspects are fine, however the shadows are not powerful enough. If you have a strong noon light coming from the top, planes facing it will be exposed to extremely harsh light. Shadow mapping is the additional component that was absent. Draw a distinct line defining the areas where the shadow falls on the subject (form shadow) and the surrounding surfaces (cast shadow). Determine which edges are soft (blending) and hard (sharp). You can leave it graphical for this style, but add some blending if you want to try painting-like effects. Remember that as they get farther away from the light source, the core shadow will diminish and become softer. To generate contrast, add the lighter, brighter tones after creating the shadow. So that we can still notice the distinction in shadows, keep it very subtle. Prior to adding complexity, always concentrate on mapping the shadow as a single, consistent value. Hope it helps!
