The audience must immediately feel the impact of your terrifying scene. Since Alien is a horror game, it makes sense to focus on ominous environments in which an alien suddenly appears on the victim. Additionally, make each stage tidy (layer separation) and avoid from using purple for shadows. You can choose to experiment and try to create a solid painting, or you can maintain strong linework and paint inside as a style. Finding the light source would be the typical first step. Here, the bulk is in red, while on the other side, there are two blues. In order to balance both sides, the middle would be neutral. Because of this, we prefer to maintain our shadows slightly in the color of neutral gray or orange (avoid getting too dark or saturated). Next, we employ the cell shading approach to create a shadow map. Plan your shadows according to the direction of the light, being highly pictorial (red one). After that, character immersion and atmospheric manipulation become more important.
