Hello there, I tried messing around with your painting a bit, hope is well recieved. So, I believe the problem usually isn't the colors not matching in most drawings, that's why instead of changing the color scheme I tried working with what you already had. I don't know If I de-aged the charater too much for your taste but that would be easy to change. The main things to consider are: -Shapes I feel like you didn't choose strong shapes to make the face readable enough, always think of the planes of the face and where the light is coming from, using reference will always help you with that. -Brushstrokes and detail A common error when trying to do finished paintings is to try and make finer details all around the piece without thinking of focal points and having a strong foundation first, like you did on the hair, or the lips and the light under the eyelids. I'd say is better to focus first on volume, light and shadow mapping, and value contrast, make sure everything looks volumetric first and the go in and throw your details (always thinking on focal points and areas of rest vs areas of detail and the material/texture of the thing you are adding details to). Even if your style is more like caricatures or semi-realistic, most of this things still apply, you just have to tame it a bit, and "translate" it to your style. Hope this was helpful, and keep it up, I really like the character looks, plus you got the skin tone right, I barely had to change that. | Artwod Feedback
