hello, i think the face is already very good structurally your base color is also good! but maybe you can try push a little bit on the rendering, adding darker shadow and some highlight, and another point is maybe pushing the hair toward a more rendered look too, adjusting the colors shadow and light. im not sure what drawing application you used but a trick for coily hair i may recommend using a texture brush

I’d like to try and make my renders look a bit more realistic. I feel like they always turn out too smooth, and the hair doesn’t really look like actual hair. Do you have any tips to improve this?

Wow, you glowed up my face amazingly. I use Procreate! Ok, I'll take note. I'm just starting the "Introduction to Portrait" path, I hope I can render like you one day.
