Hi! Epic submission! I think we could improve this one by getting rid of some of the noise. As you can see I have simplified some of the lighting and shading into larger shapes. Always try to start off that way to plan out lighting/shading beforehand. I figured the surfboard would stop quite a bit of the lighting on the pants, so that's why I changed those areas from light to shadow and I applied that to the rest of the figure as well. Other than that I also made the shadows a little bit lighter, this because of 2 reasons. The first is again to reduce some noise and second, because there is so much light and smoke around the character, light is coming from more different angles, chich usually results in softer shadows anyway! So I think this way your character stands out a bit better. I think the way you painted that smoke in the background is brilliant. That way of painting very loosely and confidently is definitely something to cultivate, so try to apply more of that into the character as well and keep up the good work! | Artwod Feedback
