The principles of construction remain the same regardless of the style we select. You can always turn to it as a safety net if you are feeling uncertain or think something is off. For this reason, it is beneficial to practice self-correction in addition to peer input. It basically boils down to knowing how each bodily part functions as a geometric before adding shape and style. I would also experiment with the page itself by changing his facial expressions or adding other positions with his bazooka. Perhaps you could have him posing on one sheet while rehearsing his face from a different angle on another. Maybe in the whole mix you can add scenes from anime when they met him, possibilities are endless. Hope it helps!
