Hello hello! Very cute bird! I like that you picked watercolor! I will give you some guides for body and next watercolor drawing! Help yourself with simple shape first as you lightly construct the body. Use simple geometric shape to build body of desired bird before moving in linework. Applying translucent, dried layers of paint on top of one another to create depth, intensity, and detail is known as layering watercolor. The most crucial rule is to ensure the previous layer is 100% dry before applying the next, preventing colors from mixing on the page. Transparent colors work best for layering as they allow light to pass through, creating a luminous effect. Build up values by applying lighter, diluted washes first, and adding darker, more saturated colors for shadows and details later. Too many layers or too much scrubbing with the brush can damage the paper surface and make the colors look "chalky" or overworked. Thats pretty much it! Happy learning! | Artwod Feedback
