Good spider design here. What can enhance the believability here is a lighter shadow that is further from the body. Gives the illusion of height with the long legs of the spider. Also, the shadow should follow the perspective of the legs as well. Using line to indicate form as well as the shadow will allow lighter line weights in the shadow. The shadow gets darker as the leg hits the contact sot on the floor. Hope this helps give some things to practice.
