Here's where I'm at with the cover for our adventure now...
I've been trying to get the underlying forms right for this cover illustration I've been working on. The monster should be swallowing the elf's arm, with its tongue wrapped around it and pulling him into his mouth. The elf should be falling back from the slurk's attack, but getting a nice stab in as he falls backwards. If anyone has any suggestions for fitting these shapes together, getting the movement right, etc., I'd be grateful! Thanks!

Hiya! Sorry for the wait c: For the figure, I think the centre line of their face is probably pushed a bit more further towards the creature and I also shortened the head as it felt a little bit too elongated. For the tongue, try to show that it is indeed wrapped around the arm by showing overlap like this! Hope it helps c:
Hey! Thanks so much for getting back to me. I've actually made a ton of progress on the image since I posted that sketch. I'll see if I can post an image back to show you where I'm at with it. I think I've incorporated some of your advice in what I have. I tend to make heads super elongated, not sure why.
I uploaded the new image in another reply above, in case you get the chance to take a peek.
Oh absolutely, could you upload it as a new post instead of the comment? Then I can do a drawover more easily and will get right on that! :D
Artwod seems to be struggling to upload the new post. If it ever uploads, it's there! I appreciate your feedback.
I'll keep my eyes peeled!!
