For lighting, finish all the colours first. Then use a clipping mask with multiply for shadows. It’s an easy way to add lighting without changing the whole drawing. Do always fine reference when you want to do lighting. The rim light is an extra, not necessary. Btw, I luv your design. :D

Thanks so much for the feedback, I will try this. I was completely unaware of the skirt being flat, your notes really helped. I don’t usually design outfits so I’m glad you like it. Appreciate it! （╹◡╹）
