Hopefully the image stays this time.
Here's a sketch I started completing of a Berber Camel Archer. I'd like some feedback on the perspective and proportions before moving onto the shading.
Hopefully the image stays this time.
Sorry on my previous feedback I forgot to mention that the small image was take about 1 foot away from the camera. The main image was just a few inches away. this makes a big difference in the head/hand ratio. Also the arrow head should cover a bit of the hand because the shaft is resting on top of the fingers.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback! I saw both your comments in my email notifications, however on ArtWod itself I can only see your second comment, and unfortunately I can't see the paint over - it shows as the original image with nothing on it. This may be unfortunately a technical issue, I'll reach out to support on it. I appreciate your time and effort to critique my piece!
I really love teh concept. I am a big fan of using reference. I could not quickly find something close so I just made something. It looks like the biggest thing to consider is the relative size of the head vs the hand. Based on the reference I estimate the head is around 2/3 to 3/4 the size of the hand. I also would suggest showing more of the arrow shaft. This adds to the depth. One other thing. Based on the references I did find, I think your arrow is on the wrong side of the bow, but please double check. Hope this helps.
