Please ask for feedback on exercises. That is part of what this hub is for. The way he explains the projection method I can understand but it is backwards for me. I tend to think about drawing the cube at the biggest shape then subtracting. The purpose of either method is to find the location and shape of the outermost visible edges. This is true for the corners and sides. I cheated and made some CAD models to make things clearer, I hope. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give me feedback. I really appreciate it. I was experimenting with different types of multiple rounding, and I think I've started to understand how it works. I began thinking of the rounded corners almost like semi-spheres, focusing on how the contour wraps around the form.
I think you are spot on using the sphere analogy. Just be careful when the corner radii are different. their intersection in 3D will be a bit less sphere like. Drawing out each edge radii can give you an idea how they come together.
