Hi! Great work! Construction looks good. Just some pointers. 1.- When making the construction of your objects remember to draw through your forms. 2.- Following the perspective lines of the hammer piece closer to us we see that the second piece its not the same size. Unlike the orthographic view 3.- When objects move back in perspective they appear to be smaller. If we compare the second to firs piece of the hammer it looks too long. It takes a lot of time and practice to be able to eyeball that kind of perspective illusions, so at the beginning try to make simple measurements. Once you gain some millage you will be able to eyeball it with a lot more accuracy, so more believable. 4.- About design, try to think BIG-MED-SMALL shapes to make it more interesting. Right now the shapes on the main part of your design are the same size. I hope this helps!
Thx a bunch, I actually did try everything you said but I’m pretty sure I just didn’t stick to it enough if you get me actually maybe not the perspective part idk but to wrap my head around how the centre console thingy thing would stick out I tried drawing the shapes on top of each other
Even if it gets messy, draw trough your forms and use all the construction lines you need to understand your drawing. That will make you 1000X better on the long term when you try to draw using your intuition. Also, draw the thing several times if needed (just the part you are trying to figure out) until you get it.
