Your concept here is solid. What you need is to focus less on every detail and try to get more values in. Even with pen an ink, you can use different sized fineliners to create depth and the illusion of details. Things in the background can be rendered with a thin fineliner and with less detail. Then gradually go up in size to get a bit heavier line and increase the darks and lights to create your depth and contrast. Right now everything in your piece has a similar dark value. Try to lighten up on details and line in the background and then focus your details and darks in the foreground. Try to gradually move towards the dark, building up your darks in layers. Try a lighter hand and see if that helps.
