Hey there! You're not projecting the cast shadows of the forms correctly, since it seems like you're mostly guessing their direction. It's good that you're keeping the direction of the light rays in mind, but you also need to consider the direction of the light itself, as this will help you define the shape of the cast shadow much more accurately. I included a small example using a cube to illustrate both concepts: the direction of the light (aqua lines) and the light rays (red lines). Notice how the light direction lines touch the bottom corners of the form, while the light rays touch the top corners. You'll draw the shape of the cast shadow where the light direction lines and the light rays intersect. Usually, the sides of the cast shadow will spread outward rather than remaining completely straight, as you've drawn them. :) Applying this logic, I've corrected the cast shadows of the figures. Keep in mind that if the light is coming from the front, the back of the figures will be in shadow. Otherwise, it would be contradictory to have the side illuminated while the cast shadow is projected in a different direction. This process can be a bit tedious, but it'll help you understand cast shadows better. Eventually, you'll be able to do this without being so methodical. :) Just keep the concepts I've explained in mind. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
