If you dont mind losing a more grounded look, I would push each characters builds into a more exaggerated feel. Maybe giving the "spikey" character sharper angles or by making a stout character appear "fluffier"

I want to make their shapes more distinct from one another. Especially with having more round or square features. I'm a big fan of each character having their own "shape" that they're based on, any advice?
