idk if more black is the fix, maybe keep the blue and darken just the outside edge, then remove a few inner lines so the eye stays the focal point.
My anime character silhouette is too simple, but also i want the negative space to look better.

Sketch of my own anime character. Not loving the silhouette, but i like how the eye sticks out. Colored pencils, and pen. Does the blue make the silhouette simple or complicated? Maybe it should be more black.
