Learning how to draw step by step a crying face of an anime girl

I'm trying to quick sketch an anime girl with a crying face and show that she's extremely sad but now she just looks weird with water drops on her face. I think my facial anatomy and expression are off somehow. Any advice to fix this?

Hello. You know anime crying is very wobly you got that in your favor, I believe the space between the tears are to far apart. Try to follow the tears around the round form proportions of the face. Also as a tip the structure of the head should be even. Some times a worried type of mouth also does the trick, eyebrows lifted up also gives a sad expression insights shared in this blog post are by @dgbdraw

Hey there, when adding this many tears, you would assume the character is bawling heavily. Therefore I opened the mouth more. I also gave both eyes and brows a downwards tilt to increase the stylized expression of deep sadness. For your anatomy, don't cut the distance between nose and mouth too short, it makes the entire face a little unbelievable. If you want to, you can add small indications of reflections in the tears, to make them seem more 3dimensional. o/
