the walk already reads well. maybe pin the folds to two or three points, shoulders and where it catches the leg, and let the rest hang. helps it feel like cloth reacting to the step instead of a flat sheet

I’m trying to sketch an anime character with a cape but it just looks like a flat sheet behind them. I dont really understand how the folds should react to the pose. My form and movement need work. using pencil, any advice?
