Hi, first of all this is such a fun painting, and I think handling contrasts with traditional mediums like watercolours are really hard to balance. The trick is to build up the dark tones very gradually, so simply try to make the difference in value a little bit smaller next time and you'll be great! Other than that, I added a little bit of shading to the stomach of the elephant in the back.
