Hiya, sorry for the delay! I think you're doing a really cool job with the lines so I wouldn't change anything about those. The figure underneath would be very difficult to draw, so I think it would help to first draw in the proportions of the figure in pencil and then start inking the swirls. Then you'll know the position of the mouth and what the proportions of the face/body will be, which is a great help. Especially since we only see the figure through the gaps in the swirls, it would otherwise be difficult to estimate which part of the body those would be!
