guys so i first used construction to define this body, then added on details. But before any of that, i drew the head. And because of that, the head looks disconnected from the body in this angle. What are some fixes to this, and should i have drawn the body before the head? any other suggestions? please let me know!
science model
yesterday with my partners i was drawing the pictures for juncos in biology class. we were in a bit of a rush, and i wanted to draw people, so i didn't plan or think about perspective correctly. I know this is just for an explanation, but it's still a drawing i made. If anyone could make and fixes, that would be great, thanks!
woskdkekeow
hey guys... uhh i think i struggled with the three-quarter view a bit. like, i drew a sphere first, but i struggled with the placement of the right eye. but if anyone has any criticisms for the other drawings here, please let me know!
bro looks UNHINGED
yesterday after i copied a real face from reference, i tries drawing it from different angles. I did a sort of frieren angle but it's not on this page lol. also, i kinda made the guy from the photo look kinda crazy ngl. I used whatever i learned from studying asaro heads to draw these different angles. However, i think on the hand i could've pushed the middle finger pointing more towards the camera a bit more. How can i do that? what else is missing from these drawings? please let me know!
box compositions
i did some box compositions today, and a little bit of the mega cube grid (an exercise i was too afraid of, but there's a first time for everything). I did good, but can anyone point out any mistakes? Does everything exist in the same space? please let me know!
organic textures
yesterday I was doing this brokendraw exercise where you take an organic for, and draw a texture on top of it. I chose a brick texture. I think my bricks are unevenly proportioned, and the don't wrap around the form right, but what do you all think? please let me know!
THE ONE PIEEEECEEEE!!! THE ONE PIECE IS REEEEEAAAALLLLL!!!
GUYS! so umm i tried my hand at this one piece challenge thingy, and i drew characters from the anime such as luffy, brook, chopper, uta, and goku- WAIT, G-GOKU!!?? i also added little details such as animation layer notations, spacing charts, and shading, so that this all feels like an actual step in an anime production pipeline. anyways, how'd i do? please let me know!
step into the light AAAAAHHHHH
um guys so using what i know i tried to depict the torso using limited lighting, almost as if the person is just starting to step into light. I made a few adjustments, but i have a few problems with it. maybe it looks a bit flat, and i kinda have to squint my eyes a bit to get a sense of everything being lit in a believable way. I don't know why that is, but what do you guys think?
bro is that deku?
hey guys, can you help me with these drawings? I know im supposed to be specific, but i honestly can't put my finger on what i did wrong here. are my proportions wrong? form? anatomy? please let me know!
school project!
in biology class i have this school project where im supposed to explain ways animals lived in different time periods; past and present (urbanization). first i tried to figure out the layout and composition, and here are some of my ideas: 1. one rat is further than the other, signifying their respective time periods. 2. the clock hands in the middle are supposed to guide the viewer's eye and aid movement. 3. each text box is across from each other in individual directions and equal in shape. thought of the design principle of balance for this. i don't know if i executed these ideas well, or if some elements are fighting for attention. If anyone can help me push these ideas or clear up the composition, please let me know!
bootiful
y'all! last night i took a crack at drawing an environment! I did fine, but i think the lake looks a bit messy and the line work is unconfident, but this was just a sketch. This is my first time really drawing something like this, so feel free to give feedback!
mmmm perpective
yesterday i was experimenting with three-point perspective by drawing a bunch if forms in the same space. Some of them have different vanishing points besides the ones already established, but since I haven't explored three-point perspective deeply enough, i thought that maybe each object has a different vanishing points besides at the top. i think i did pretty good, but what's throwing me off are the inconsistencies with depth. For some of them, i don't think they're spaced correctly, but what do you guys think? Please let me know!
uummm greyhound study
Yesterday, to get better at drawing dogs, i took reference of a greyhound and simplified it to its most primitive forms. as you can see, it's in perspective and i struggled a bit with getting the proportions right in that perspective, and i had trouble depicting the forms of the upper legs. If anyone could give some tips and critique, that would be lovely. Oh, and don't mind the little chihuahua to the side hes been a very bad boy
bro is raw
Brokendraw suggested doing figure contours as a drawing exercise, so i did just that. I looked up some references for this one. My process entailed getting the gesture down first, then drawing the figure with contours. And for some reason, they look kind of stiff to me. I tried to push the angles on the poses, but i don't know. If anyone could point me in the right direction to dynamism, let me know!
wiggly woggly woo
hey guys, can you give some anatomy and figure drawing tips? mainly for the drawing of the guy holding the cup and the one running. The guy drinking liquid looks fine but I could've drawn the thumbs up hand better. And for the ball one, maybe I could've pushed the angles on the pose better? It doesn't look dynamic enough, at least to me. If anyone could give me some tips, that would've be great, thanks!
