Hello there! I really like how this is coming along! The main issue I see is the lack of contrast between the character and the background, as they both share a very similar value range. If you look at examples of Tarot artwork, you'll notice that they often rely on a strong "dark against light" contrast, and that's exactly what I tried to do with your illustration. I lightened the background, which appears to be a window, which immediately helps the character stand out. To push the contrast even further, I lowered the value of the character's shadows. This helps group the darker values of both the character and the frame surrounding the background. You can also emphasize the lit areas a bit more. Whether you'd like to introduce more graphic shapes or soften the transition between light and shadow is entirely up to you. With these changes, you can see how the illustration reads much better. You could also make the outline of the character's silhouette slightly thicker to help it stand out even more. :) Remember to turn your illustration into values every time to double-check that the values look good!
