Hello there! Great work so far! It looks really cool I’m not familiar with the “shi” style… assuming that’s what you meant haha. But anyway, my main suggestion would be to define the internal forms much more clearly. Right now everything feels too blurry and undefined. It almost looks like the skin is transparent and the light is bouncing around inside of it. Not every edge needs to be sharp, of course, but choosing where to use harder edges and where to soften things would help the illustration read much better. As for the lighting: If the light source is coming from behind, then mostly the contours and edges of the character should be illuminated. Because of that, it doesn’t really make sense for the chest to be fully lit. Hope this helps!
